How the money map estimator works
Three inputs per tower, three outputs. Every step is shown here.
The calculation
- 1
Tickets avoided
Tickets per month × the share you expect to deflect, rounded to a whole ticket.
- 2
Hours returned
Tickets avoided × minutes handled per ticket ÷ 60, to one decimal place.
- 3
FTE of capacity
Hours returned ÷ productive hours per FTE per month, to one decimal place.
- 4
Totals
Each output summed across towers. FTE is recomputed from total hours.
Choosing your inputs
Use at least two full quarters of ticket data, including email and chat. Set the deflection share per tower from your own intent analysis, not from a published case. Use handle time from your workflow data, and productive hours per FTE from your own staffing model.
The tool caps deflection at 100% and accepts up to 20 towers. It doesn't store your inputs.
What it can't tell you
The result is only as good as your inputs, and it isn't a quote or a promise. It doesn't convert anything into money: that needs your contracts and your finance partner's sign-off.
Method questions
Can I check the numbers myself?
Yes. Every formula is on this page.
Is the result a quote?
No. It is an estimate from your inputs.
