How the readiness score works
Twelve answers, six areas, one overall score.
The scoring
- 1
Answers
Each question scores 0 (not in place), 1 (started), 2 (mostly in place) or 3 (in place and measured).
- 2
Areas
Two questions per area. Area score = the two answers ÷ 6, as a percent.
- 3
Overall
All twelve answers ÷ 36, as a percent.
- 4
Where to start
The area with the lowest score. Ties go to the earlier area in the list.
The six areas
Baseline
A signed view of run cost and volumes.
Entitlements
Knowing what you already license.
Ownership
A named Platform Owner and boards.

One intake and a ranked backlog.
AI governance
Agents counted, owned and budgeted.
Talent

Where the questions come from
The areas follow the mandate ladder and CoE model on this site. They are our design, not an industry benchmark, and the score is a self-assessment.
The mandate ladder →What it can't tell you
The result is only as good as your inputs, and it isn't a quote or a promise. It doesn't convert anything into money: that needs your contracts and your finance partner's sign-off.
Method questions
Can I check the numbers myself?
Yes. Every formula is on this page.
Is the result a quote?
No. It is an estimate from your inputs.
Run it with your numbers.
